Meet Deanna

Deanna is a certified Critical Care Technician. She has been in EMS/Fire for over 30 years! Deanna is our current Chief of Operations/CIMVAC Car 1. When Deanna is not responding or handling EMS responsibilities she can be found in her garage making beautiful art out of wood! 

Meet Kevin

Kevin is a certified Critical Care Technician. He is currently the 1st Assistant Chief/CIMVAC Car 2. Kevin joined Ira FD as Volunteer Firefighter in Nov 1987. He started as Basic EMT in May of 1988 and have been part of the ambulance since. Originally as a "Mutual Aid Member" until 1992 when he joined the Cato FD. Kevin has been a Critical Care ALS Tech since March of 1994.

Meet Matt

Matt is a certified paramedic. He is currently the 2nd Assistant Chief/CIMVAC Car 3. He has been in EMS since 2013. He served 6 years honorably with the United States Army.

In Matt’s own words- “I started my EMS career as a volunteer, I am thankful for this amazing organization and will continue volunteering for this amazing community I call home.”

Meet Jennifer

Jen is a certified Critical Care Technician. She is currently the 3rd Assistant Chief/CIMVAC car 4. Jen has been a member with CIMVAC for 20 plus years. She started as a driver/attendant, then achieved her EMT and then her Medic in 2008. When Jen is not responding to calls, she enjoys time being with her husband and children. 

Meet Lee

Lee is currently the President of CIMVAC and is certified as an EMT-B. She has been a volunteer with CIMVAC for 20+ years and have held various positions within the organization. 

Her background includes a BS, MBS, BLS Instructor, NYS EMT, and Cornell University Leadership certification. She spent 25 years as a classroom teacher  and 10 years as a business manager and has sat on various boards both within the educational and business communities.

In her own words “Currently, it is my privilege to bring my experience to serve our community with CIMVAC and to be part of helping people at their worst moments.”

Meet Greg

Greg is currently the Vice-President of CIMVAC. Greg has been with CIMVAC for 3 and a half years. He started during the exciting time when covid started.  Greg proudly served in the Navy as a rescue swimmer. 

Meet Sue

Sue is currently the Treasure for CIMVAC. Sue became a member to give back to the community. Sue is a wife, mother and a grandmother and has worked for the Village of Meridian since 2011

Meet Judy

Judy is certified as an EMT-B. She is currently serving as the Secretary and one of our Trustees for CIMVAC. Judy has been with CIMVAC for over 10 years and is also a life member of Ira Fire Department.

Meet Rose 

Rose is currently serving as one of the Trustees for CIMVAC. She has always had an interest in medical since teenage years . In her own words “Well life happened and I now find myself  as a wife and a Mom to 5 children. Living on a farm and raising German Shepherds. I am absolutely loving my newest adventure of becoming an EMT. Rose has been with CIMVAC for almost a year and finding it has already become a huge part of her life.

Meet Don

Don is currently serving as one of the Trustees for CIMVAC. Don has been with CIMVAC as a Driver for 2 years. Don also belongs to the Cato Rotary. During his downtime, he likes to go camping.

Meet Jim

Jim is certified as an EMT-B. Jim has lived in Cato since 1978. Jim joined CIMVAC in 2002. In his own words “I am retired (Semi)”  He obtained his BA from Plattsburgh State.

Meet Terry

Terry is certified as an EMT-B. Terry has been in the Fire/EMS service for 42 years. He owns a 30 acre hobby farm. His favorite quote is : “Always be ready for the unexpected.”

 

Meet Kathy

Kathy is  certified as an EMT-B. Kathy has been with CIMVAC for 12 years. She also serves on the Cato-Meridian school board and the Cayuga-Onondaga County BOCES school board. Hobbies include camping and family

Meet Chris K

Christopher K is a lifelong resident of Cato. He has been with CIMVAC for 2 years and serves as a driver with CIMVAC.  He is also a proud member of the Cato Rotary Club and the Cato American Legion Post 911.  Chris served almost 39 years of full-time service in the New York Army National Guard, recently retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer Four.  His bride of 32 years is a teacher at Cato-Meridian Elementary School.  In his own words “We have two wonderful sons, both former members of CIMVAC.”  His favorite quote is "Don't sweat the small stuff.  It is ALL small stuff."  I am very thankful I started service with CIMVAC.  This is a fantastic organization that provides amazing service to our community.”

Meet Chris M

Chris is currently certified as an EMT-B.

Meet Ben

Ben is currently a driver for CIMVAC. Ben has volunteered in fire/EMS for the past 11 years. Outside of volunteering, he is a heavy equipment mechanic and avid outdoorsman.

Meet Donna

Donna started her EMS career 50 years ago by attending a CPR and 1st Aid course with her parents at the Cato Rescue Unit held in the "old Cato Fire House".  After taking the EMT course, she held the position of Rescue Captain.  She continued on with courses such as EMT-I, EMT-CC, nursing and EMT-P. She has also been an RN at Auburn Community Hospital for the past 36 years working in the Coronary Care Unit, Emergency Department and Urgent Cares. Donna is an RN & Paramedic and rides occasionally when she isn't traveling too far off lands. 

Meet Patty

Patty is a newly certified EMT-B and joined CIMVAC July 2023. Outside of volunteering for CIMVAC, she enjoys spending time with family, camping and doing home projects. 

Meet Sam

Sam is certified as an EMT-B. He has been in the fire service for 5 years now as an interior firefighter for Ira Volunteer Fire Department.  He recently moved into the medical side where he has been continuously learning and continuing his education through both CIMVAC and Ira. Sam is currently enrolled in college pursing a Business Degree. In his free time he enjoys fishing, hunting and watching sports. 

Meet Brenda

Brenda has  called the Cato area her home for over 30 years. She  recently joined the Victory Fire Department, the Cayuga County Highland Search and Rescue team and CIMVAC because I enjoy helping people and wanted to give back to my community. Brenda looks forward to learning and growing with CIMVAC. In her spare time, she likes reading, gardening, and photography.

Meet Tammy

Tammy has  worked in health administration since 1991. She has taught healthcare online at two universities. This is her first year volunteering with CIMVAC and has enjoyed this new journey working towards an EMT.
